8/29/09
HELLO,IT'S BEEN A FEW WEEKS FROM MY LAST POST.
I HAVE BEEN SO BUSY WITH WORK AND GETTING THE KIDS BACK IN SCHOOL.I NOW HAVE THE HOUSE TO MYSELF ON MONDAY AND TUESDAY WOOHOOO.
WELL I PAINTED EDEN BY ADRIE STOETE,I THINK HE/SHE CAME OUT PRETTY GOOD.
I'M ALSO WAITING FOR SOME KITS TO ARRIVE,SO I CAN GET STARTED ON MY CUSTOMS FOR X-MAS,CAN U BELIEVE IT ONLY 3 MONTHS AWAY?
THIS IS WHAT I HAVE DONE SO FAR WITH EDEN

SO FAR I'M HAPPY WITH HIM/HER, BUT I REALLY THINK THIS WILL BE A BABY BOY.
I WILL UPDATE YOU AFTER I FINIISH ROOTING HIM

Starting My First Toddler

I got my first toddler in the mail today, boy was I surprised at the size of this baby head.
I will start on her on this coming Monday I hope. I Loved the way her bottom lip poked out, so I had to have her. She is 28"inches long, and I don't even know how much glass beads I will have to use in her limbs, not to mention I will have to turn on my oven ,because she is too big to fit in my table top oven, so I will keep u up-dated on my progress with her. I bet you are wondering which toddler kit I’ll be working on, well u just have to wait and see. I’ll post some before and after pictures, along with my color palette that I use on her.
But first I need to finish up my custom Estelle.
She will be my third Estelle to- date. the third one being for my very own collection lol. she is way too cute not to have one.
With this being my first entry on my blog, and not to mention that it's 3:00 am, I’ll have to say good night. But I have so much to tell u about all the wonderful things that's going on in my world of reborning.

Tuesday 7/14/09
Well today I finally finished rooting Estelle!
WOW all I can say is WOW! This is a big head baby LMAOOO.
This is my journey on painting my very first toddler. I am just giving Arianna a good scrub down with hot soapy water, as I thoroughly brush all residue from this sculpt, I notice that her head is much more firmer than her limbs.

I know I won't have a problem painting her head, but I'm wondering how in the world will I be able to handle her flimsy limbs.
I wanna say they feel a lot like silicone, what did I get myself into lol!!!!
This is going to be a major pain, due to the fact that her legs are almost as long as my arms, I will have to hold the middle part of her leg, as I paint the bottom half, and try to find a way to control the top half of her leg without touching the already painted part. Oh not to mention all the pouncing I will have to do to achieve the skin texture I want. Boy this will be extremely difficult, I'm sure there's a way I just have to figure it out lol!!
Arianna is sculpted by the very talented Reva Schick, and I am so pleased that I have selected Arianna as my first! She is sooo freaking cute lol!
Just to give u an example of how big her head is, I had my 13yr old nephew hold her head next to his, and trust me when I say this was no easy task to do, He didn't want his pick on the internet. I had to bribe him to do this for me lol, so 15 pics later I finally got one with a smile, all I had to say was the magic words lol!!! He now has 200 more minutes on his cell phone LMAOOO!!!

I am so excited to get started on Arianna, but first I must mix my paints as I wait for her to dry.

Wednesday 7/15/09
Well I got off work early today, because my last client decide to only have a hair cut, not color and highlights. What? I marked off 2 1/2 hr to do her hair. But it is what it is right?
I cleaned up my station so fast u would of thought someone was giving away something outside lol. I had been thinking about painting Arianna all day, so now I have an extra 3 hours to my day.
I walked outside and it's about 107 degrees today, I must be nuts if i think I’m turning on my oven, so i will have to paint her tonight. When i got home i crashed out like a baby, this heat drains me.
Before I go let me share my colors i will use. I’m not sure exactly what shade of brown I'm going for, I never know until I start painting.
FLESH 07, FLESH O5, FLESH 02,CARBON BLACK,BB'S WARM BLUSH,BB'S ETHNIC BLUSH,YELLOW,BLUE O2,BURNT AUMBER. I may not use all these colors, but this is what i will start with, I just flow with the moment when I paint.
OMG I forgot to tell you, I think I solved the problem to painting the limbs, being that i was worried about them be flimsy and all.
Well my husband has these speaker stands that he made years ago for the garage

I bet your wondering where in the hell is she going with this LMAOOO! just work with me now lol!
Well I notice that i would be perfect for what i needed, so i cut one down to the size that i wanted, cleaned it up real good, and BAM!!! I now have a holder for these long limbs teehee

LMAOOOO!!! Do ya think he will notice one of his stands is missing lol,so I got a nail and hung the speaker on the wall, in the exact location that it was before LMAOO, I kill myself sometimes lol!
I think I may have to paint while he's at work, or sleeping, that’s going to be hard to hide, then again they been their so long he may half forgotten all about then. Hey I did leave the other one lol.

SATURDAY 7/18/09
I finally got the first layer of paint on Arianna today. I mixed some red, burnt umber, and a dash of black. These colors were mixed together, and thinned down to a watery consistency, applied with my maxcine brush, then I pounced away with a sponge to smooth out the color and add texture.
This color brings warmth and depth. Here u can see in the picture the difference from the first layer. In this picture only her head is painted, and her arm has no paint,
This is perfect for the beginning of her AA skin tones

I must say her limbs were easier to handle than I thought. I must be the drama queen that they say I am lol! Thanks Carol for the drama queen award!!! lmaoooooo!!! u know i had to use it lol,
I guess i over think every thing making it harder that it really is lol!

I painted her while my husband was out golfing today. So I had to get up at 6:00 am, being that was his tee time.
That speaker stand worked out great to hold her long limbs after they were painted.
She did have a spot on her hand that just wouldn't take the paint, but i used a very fine grit sand paper to ruff up that spot, and now all is well.
I do love the way the first layer came out, the texture, and color is perfect. can’t wait to start the flesh color. I’m thinking of trying something new with a few colors, then again i should stick with what i know lol! Nothing worst than messing up an expensive kit right(been their, done that) LMAOOO!
Ooh i can't wait to see her all painted, so i will start back first thing tomorrow. I want to paint all day! Do you think i can just hide the stand on the side of the counter without him seeing it?LOL
I have convinced my husband to go golfing again tomorrow and play the 18 holes, nothing like a good day of golfing with the boys right ? teehee

Monday 7/20/09
I think I am done? Sorry I was not able to bring u step by step pictures, my batteries for my camera needed to be charged, and i couldn't wait for 6 hours. I'm such a goober, I went to be and thought i had charged them.
So this is what I did. For her flesh tone i used~carbon black~flesh 02.I painted 3 layers of this color. But sad to say i couldn't reach the color that i really wanted. Due to the fact that this vinyl has so many spots that wouldn't really hold the color, so going any darker would of been a disaster

I tried every thing I could think of, but nothing worked. Next color i used was raw sienna, to bring some yellow tones to her skin. I am very pleased with her results, but I had something else in mind. So i stopped before i had a hot mess on my hands lol, I did a little detail on her lips, and creases. For the creases I used burnt umber, black, and flesh 02

For her lips I just started grabing colors, a dab of the flesh color, some pyrole red, and dioxide purple ( I think that's the name) for all of you that's into this art know what iImean! lmao

By far she still has a lot of detail, and blushing for me to do, this is just the tip of the iceberg!
I just love the texture of her skin. I used a picture that one of my fellow reborner posted up in our AARAG forum as an example. I also want to use that picture for the hair. The little girl in the picture is so darn cute

This is were I'm at so far, It will be a few days before I post up the final details of Arianna. When i do she will have all her detail done, eyebrows, eyes, and painted hair, wooohoooo lmao cause I’m just as curious as u to see exactly how she will turn out.
Then on to the hard part, rooting (blah !!!! hate it lol) But i need to do a tutorial on painting an AA baby for a friend of mind! I think i will use BB'S Kyra. and hopefully i can also post the same one on this website, in the tips and tutorial section, just to give u a step by step.(this time I’ll make sure the batteries are charged. Teehee.

WENDSDAY 7/22/09
WooHoo I just ordered her hair. So i should have it by next week. i love sugargliderus hair.(sugargliderus@aol.com) Very good quality, and an excellent price. All my clients that i have used this mohair on their reborn babies, raves about it. I always hear it's the best that they seen on the reborns the have bought in the past.
So I went with the dark brown and medium brown, I want to mix it to give her some natural highlights in her hair. I hope to have a few pics of what the hair looks like up soon. This will be a perfect mix with her skin tone, and her chuck hazel eyes.

My vision of her has started, and I’m getting happier by the day. But I’m sure it will fade after 12
hours of rooting LOL! Now I just need a few outfits for her. Margie I hope you up for another challenge, I will need 3 outfits for her.
Poor Margie is going to stop taking my phone calls LMAOOO.

WENSDAY 7/29/09
Well as promised i have taken some pics of Arianna with her eyes, and drawn on hair. What was i thinking when i said i would do painted hair lol! too much work. But before we get to her pics, I just wanted to share once again how big her head really is LMAOOO! having a hard time getting over this. Now i have Arianna (28inches) and Kyra (22 inches) using just a head shot to show what I’m use to painting and rooting. Talk about punishing myself. I should of took the time out corner instead lol!

I did get the perfect color for her, and all the light spots(the ones that wouldn't take the paint) has been blended. Thank God for that, because I tried every thing i could think of, I added one last layer of Secrist shine remover and it did the job. After that i added a few more layers of yellow, because i was going for a high yellow AA or mix race baby

I am in love with her already,and I still have so much work to do.
I used hazel eyes for her,but I'm not too sure if i like them,this is a close up of her eyes

I couldn't bring myself to paint her hair on, it would of been a waste of time anyways right! So I used to different color pencils~brown and amber i felt that was a good combination for her skin tone. And it will also give me a hair line to follow.

Just to make sure I had my color right, I had my nephews girlfriend place her arm next to Arianna. This girl is mixed with Black and White, But her skin tone is very yellow, she has a hella tan right now compared to what she looks like in the winter, but she was a perfect model for what i needed. As i only had some pictures to work from. I did used my daughter and son pics also, but they were more on the pink side, and i wanted yellow. And the whole time she stood next to Arianna, she was freaking out LMAOOO. She hates my dolls and said they were creepy lol

I hope you have enjoyed all the pictures of Arianna's paint job, I had a blast painting her, now lets see how long it will take for me to root her! This ends the painting but nowhere comes the hard part. The rooting lol, I received her hair in the mail on Monday, so maybe after my husband and I come back from our date, I can start rooting her.
Maybe not, I just thought about the Lee Lee kit I was rooting and i do need to finish him. So maybe this weekend.

8/1/09
Day one of rooting Arianna's hair. I was so excited to get started,but after 3 hours of rooting,and feeling like i was getting nowhere,and it being after 10:00 pm i gave up and went to bed.

8/2/09
Day two of rooting Arianna's hair, the next day I was still excited to get started, I rooted for 2 hours. A s i was taking a break my husband wanted to know if i wanted to watch a movie with him, so I guess i had to. Well he goes to bed around eight every nigh, so ten minuets into the movie, he was out like a light lol, so as i was sneaking back into the living, just as i picked up my doll head, the phone rang and woke him up,(wtf) he had this i thought we was watching a movies together and u were done with your doll look on his face.LMAO00000, so i had to go back into the room, watch that stupid movie. And he stayed up until 11:00 I guess it's true what they say about cat naps LOL!
Well I rooted up until 1:00 am, which was another 2 hours, My back was getting stiff, and my finger was going numb. And i swear i still feel like this is going nowhere, but after looking at the pictures, and the fact that her head is soo damn big, I guess I’m doing great

I now have 7 hours invested into rooting. Whewwwwwwwwww
Let see how long it'll take for me to toss her aside and start on another one LOL!!!

Wow can u believe that it has been almost a month that I started on Arianna! Boy do I have some crazy stuff to tell u. Ok I have finished rooting her, but it took me 26 hours to complete her hair. I know i said i would give u up-to date blogs on this, but i got so frustrated with this big ass head lol.
So within the last seven days, I rooted hours upon hours, and she was looking soo good. With my husband in the back round saying u know I’m still here "hello" "don’t bother me I’m rooting"
She had this full head of hair that i couldn't wait to style kwim. Well being too damn anxious got the best of me
.After i was done rooting, I immediately started combing her hair(somebody slap me) no no (slap me again) ok ok that's good for now LMAOOO!
Well anyone with half a brain knows when you root long hair it gets tangled up "duh" but my GOOBER butt did it anyway I hadn't sealed it, or baked the head for the holes to closed, so guess what happen?

You got it ,so much of her hair came out, I was ready to cry! So u can imagine the words that were coming out of my mouth. This amount of hair took me 4 to 6 hours just to apply.
Now I have to invest a few more hours just to fill her hair back in. Now I’m up to 28 1'2 hours.
Well my daughter comes home from work,(and get this) she says mom she had too much hair anyways for a baby” I just didn't want to say something to u" Well kick me in the butt and call me an ass" She was right, I was not thinking about her being a baby, I was just thinking about how freaking big her head was lmaooo!
So I filled in the bare spots, and wala she looks perfect

I have added her eye lashes, another layer of lip color, and sealed her brows. I also added another color of hair in the front, so that's 3 different colors. Here’s a sneak peek of her until her hair has been styled and she is dressed, which will be some time today

Thanks for keeping up with my first toddler adventure, it was fun sharing with u all the new things you learn, or things that happen along the way. And by the way Margie has made Arianna the most beautiful dress. But u have to wait to she it on EBAY lol
Here she is all done. I had to pay a visit to a friend of mind to take some pics, This is chase with Arianna, it was too funny to see the look on chase face, He was like get this girl off my stuff, I had his mom place him in the crib with Arianne and he gave her hugs at first the started to push her away. I thought it was too cute, but without further ado, hair done and complete my ARIANNA

over her plat date house!

PART 2

SO MUCH GOING ON!! 11/16/09
I did start on Vienna, Adeline, and Riley last week, and jumped back on them today, but I swear I feel like I’m getting no where lol.



And i also did Audrey and she was too freaking cute.She has sold,and has a new mom now.

I also have LeeLee on ebay right now,she waiting for her perfect mom !

I'm rooting Moby and Brea right now, hope to be done by this week end.

FREAKY STORM TODAY!! 11/29/09

We all heard the saying "IT NEVER RAINS IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA" right.
Well today was CRAZY!! It was nice and sunny, with a little chill in the air.
It did sprinkle abit last night, but not enough to even water the grass lol.
So my husband and I went out to lunch, and out to find me a magnifying
florescent lamp, and did a little shopping while we were out.
My daughter was at the park with her friend kids, everybody was doing their thang.
we were about 2 blocks away from home, when it started lighting and thundering,
no sooner than I pulled up in our driveway it started POURING DOWN.
No big deal right, but 5 minutes later it was getting louder and louder
,so we all ran to the door just to see, cause we hardly get crazy weather at all.
As I opened the door the wind was blowing like crazy, and the rain was
coming down in buckets

I know u can't really tell from this picture, but bear with me, IT GETS GOOD LMAOOO!!!
Next thing we know it started hailing in cherry size balls, THEN
WE GOT FREAKING SNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
THAT'S RIGHT I DID SAY SNOW!!! WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
so my oldest nephew dares his brother to strip down to his boxes and run to the corner and back for $20. Now I was so shocked to see him run passed me, so I’m yelling for him to get his butt back in the house, but that boy runs like lighting. So you guessed it, that crazy fool did lolololololol, I was dying LMAOOOOOOOO!!!

Now my husband started making snow balls and tagging the kids with them, and the fight was on lololol, I was rolling, if u could of seen the fun these kids had, with this little bit of snow, imagine what they would do with the real deal

While I was LOL, and taking pictures, I had no clue that they had a big ass snow ball saved just for me, "SAY WHAT" ok no pic because I had the camera, but let me tell u that it hurt. And was the coldest crap I ever felt LMAOOOO!!!
I had more pictures up here, but was asked to take them down, as they didn't want their pic on the net. OH WELL!!!!
Now the dogs are going crazy, my family is running up and down the streets, the neighbors are coming out, because of all the screaming and a half naked kid running down the street, cars slipping and sliding down the block, and we cracking up at all the people that can't steer their cars, thinking they can still drive fast on ice.
OH and did I mention that the wind was blowing hard as hell, my back yard flooded, all my decor in the back yard was blown all over the place, and my crazy dog thought he could go out and fight the thunder, and wind and stop it from taking our furniture lolololol.

As crazy as this all sounds, I had one of "THE BEST DAYS IN YEARS" I can't remember the last time I laughed and screamed so hard, to where I lost my voice. It just reminded me that, I miss my kids being small, and today just brought back some of the good memories.
But let me tell ya, 30 minutes later it all stopped and the sun was out again.

MY AUCTION HAS BEEN MISTAKEN FOR THE ONE THAT KAY IS BEING ACUSED OF STEALING A PICTURE OFF BROOKE'S WORK.

I HAVE RECIEVED SOME VERY NASTY EMAILS.AND JUST TO CLARIFY MYSELF FOR MEMBERS OF AARAG, AND SOME PEOPLE ON EBAY,I'M NOT FIGHTING WITH ANYONE OR ANY OF THE LADIES FROM AARAG,I THINK THEIR A GREAT BUNCH OF LADIES.BUT I CHOSE NOT TO BE ASSOCIATED WITH THE AARAG GUILD,DUE TO THE FACT THAT I'M GETTING ALL THESE NASTY EMAIL, THAT'S CLEARLY MENT FOR KAY.

FOR THOSE THAT THINK I AM TRYING TO COPY SOME ONE ELSE STYLE,I JUST WANT U TO KNOW HOW PETTY U ARE! IF U DONT KNOW THE MEANING OF PETTY HERE IT IS (NORROWNESS OF MIND,IDEAS, OR VIEWS) LEARN IT!!!! I'M SURE U KNOW WHO U ARE!

I WAS FLABBERGASTED WHEN I HEARD THIS,SO WHEN I TOLD THIS PERSON WHAT WAS BEING SAID ABOUT US,BOY DID SHE SET ME STRAIGHT.THAT'S WHY I ADMIRE HER SO.
SHE IS A VERY TALENTED LADY,AND ALTHOUGH I WOULD LOVE TO PAINT JUST LIKE HER,I HAVE MY OWN STYLE! AND COULD NEVER DUPLICATE WHAT SHE DOES,AND VISE VERSA.
IF YOU KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT REBORNING U WOULD KNOW HOW HARD THAT WOULD BE.

SO DON'T HATE THE FACT THAT MY AA DOLLS DO WELL ON THE MARKET,IT'S A HIT,OR MISS KIND OF THING,STOP HATEIN THE PLAYERS,LEARN THE GAME.

WOW WHERE DOES THE TIME GO? CAN U BELIEVE IT'S ALMOST FALL! THE KIDS ARE BACK IN SCHOOL,AND THE HOLIDAYS ARE FAST APPROACHING.

I RECENTLY JOIN A NEW GUILD AND LOVE THE SET UP THEIR,EVERY ONE SEEMS TO BE EXTREMLY HELPFUL.BUT I'M A NEWBIE ON THIS GUILD AND HAVE TO WORK MY WAY UP TO AN ADVANCE LEVEL.I DID FINE THAT KIND OF FUNNY,BUT THE RULE ARE AS SUCH.
I EVEN GOT MYSELF A MENTOR,(CAROL) WELL SHE HAS BEEN HELPING ME WITH MY CAUCASIAN SKIN TONES,WHICH I DID NEED SOME IMPROVEMENT ON.

CAROL USES AIRDRY PAINTS AND AS U ALL NO, I ONLY USE HEAT SET PAINTS,BUT I WAS WILLING TO TRY HER METHOD ,DUE TO THE FACT THAT HER BABIES ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL.SHE GAVE ME HER FORMULA THAT SHE USES,I WENT OUT AND GOT EVERY THING THAT I NEED,AND CAME HOME READY TO POUNCE.
RIGHT AWAY I STARTED MIXING THE COLORS,PUT THEM ON THE DOLL,AND THOUGHT "WHAT IN THE WORLD" HOW ON EARTH COULD SHE PAINT WITH SUCH THICK PAINTS LOL.

IT REALLY LOOKED LIKE I DIPPED MY KIT INTO A BUCKET OF BEAR PAINT LMAOOOO!
SO I EMAILED HER TO TELL HER I WAS HAVING NO SUCH LUCK,AND WILL JUST GO BACK TO MY HEAT SET PAINTS,SHE VERY QUICKLY RESPONDED BACK TO ME,AND TOLD ME WHAT I WAS DOING WRONG!.AFTER I SPOKE WITH HER, I APPLIED WHAT SHE TOLD ME TO THE HEAT SET PAINTS,AND THE AIRDRY PAINTS,AND LOVE LOVE THE RESULTS.
LUCY KIT WAS DONE WITH HEAT SET PAINTS.
MIKEY CAME OUT EVEN BETTER,LOVE THE TEXTURE,AND THE SKIN IS SO TRANSLUCENT,IT'S HARD TO BELIEVE AIRDRY PAINTS WORK SO WELL.I STILL HAVE SOME DETAILING AND HAIR TO DO.

I'M ALSO TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT PALETTE FOR MY AA/ ETHNIC BABIES, WITH THE AIRDRY PAINTS,I FIND THIS TO BE VERY DIFFICULT,BECAUSE EVERY THING I HAVE TRIED,JUST MAKES THE KIT LOOK LIKE A BABY DOLL U CAN BUY FROM WALMART.WELL NOT EVEN THAT GOOD LOL.
